Teenage Mark Wood with Jim Carr from Deep River Band!

The Deep River Band (aka DRB) was Mark Wood’s first band and features Jim Carr, Timmy O’Connell, Sam White, Ani Azoto, John Yakacki, Robin Yakacki, and Alison Marino. DRB made their mark on the music scene in the early ’80’s as one of the best southern rock club bands in the New York tri-state area. Their high energy feel-good shows are consistently crowd-pleasing, as their extremely loyal fans will attest.

The Mark Wood Experience is Mark’s touring band and features Laura Kaye on vocals, Paul Ranieri on bass, Rob Bambach on guitar, and Jason Gianni on drums. This powerhouse symphonic rock group has toured the world, performing a mixture of Mark’s original material, his arrangements of classic rock tunes, and dramatic movie themes.

World-renowned electric violinist Mark Wood is an original member of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, an Emmy-award winning composer, and has performed with some of the music industry’s most legendary musicians. He has devoted the last 18 years of his career to supporting America’s music programs and empowering young musicians to be true leaders in today’s world.

All proceeds will go towards helping us to put instruments in the hands of financially challenged young musicians and schools, assist schools with much-needed funds to host our music education outreach programs, and provide scholarships to attend the week-long life-changing Mark Wood Rock Orchestra Camp and Music Festival (MWROC) in July.

And because we believe that our efforts should support our own community, one lucky Port Washington music student will be awarded a full tuition scholarship to attend MWROC!
